Just finished listening. So glad I didn't go crazy trying to get the SDCC helicarrier. Think I'll wait for it to go on clearance here and pick one (or two) up for $20 or so. That crappy Cap figure? Sounds like the one sold here at Family Dollar stores--5 POA, poor paint. A way for poor kids to get a Cap toy. They did some of the other Avengers too.
So sad about the DCIE sub. It looks like it won't happen, doesn't it? May be for the best--no more Rainbow Lanterns. I'll look for old figures and make up what I want. (Still looking for a Super Friends Robin from Playskool's chunky set.)
Great show, guys. Well done. Thanks for doing these every week.
Sounds like a good one, can't wait to listen.
Great show, guys! I wasn't impressed with the Avengers Helicarrier, but the SDCC version (which is referred to as the SHIELD Helicarrier on its box) made me very excited!
I picked up from HTS and enjoy it very much. It's definitely still a simplistic "vehicle", but the size does giveita nicer look. There's a middle section not present on the Avengers version which makes it longer. You can actually remove that piece and shorten the helicarrier to the size of the standard retail release. So in theory, having an extra middle section would give you a longer Helicarrier, too, but I don't think I can buy another one of these monsters and continue to live with my girlfriend.
In regards to the Matty subs, two words: Digital River.
